How to Find a Volunteer Position
Browse Opportunities – Explore our available volunteer roles and find one (or more!) that interests you.
Express Interest – Fill out the I’m Interested form so we know which role(s) you’d like to learn more about.
Get Details – An LCN team member will email a detailed job description within 48 hours.
Meet Virtually – If the position seems like a good fit, we’ll schedule a short virtual interview to get to know you and answer your questions.
Onboarding – Once selected, we’ll guide you through an organized and supportive onboarding process so you can start your volunteer work with confidence. See Volunteer FAQs for more information.

Volunteer Position Types and Time Requirements
We’ve designed the LCN Volunteer Program to allow even the busiest person to get involved. The program offers three levels of time commitments:
Committee Member: 1-2 hours/month
Manager: 1-5 hours/month
Director: 5-10+ hours/month
Committee Member Positions

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/month
Department: Social Media
The Social Media/Awareness Committee Member contributes to LCN’s online presence by creating and refining content that is medically accurate, engaging, and supportive of the laryngeal cleft community. Each committee member commits to producing one piece of original social media content every two months. Content topics will be assigned by the Social Media Strategy Manager and tailored to each member’s strengths and interests.This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with a focus on producing quality content that strengthens community connections and advances LCN’s mission.
Manager Positions

Time Commitment: 1-5 hours/month
Department: CommunicationsThe Educational Materials Manager helps create and share clear, medically accurate, and easy-to-read resources that support families and providers in our community. This person works with LCN team members to gather information, refine drafts, and publish materials that are professional, approachable, and accurate.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and creative, with a focus on producing educational resources that make information accessible and useful for families and providers.
