Journey Submissions
Sharing our journeys is important. Personal stories help others by spreading awareness, information, and most of all, hope. Thank you for sharing your laryngeal cleft journey.
To submit a journey, please complete the Journey Release and Consent Form below and then email your story and images to: journeys@laryngealcleft.org.
Consider Including
symptoms, diagnosis, treatments
general location (state, province, or country) where the hero was born and received care
any details you feel are important to your journey
images (no more than 10)
Timeframe
If your journey includes an intervention, please wait at least six months before submitting in order to better capture recovery, complications, and longer-term outcomes.
Cleft Types
Journeys are categorized using one of the two commonly used laryngeal cleft classification systems to help readers navigate and compare experiences.
Severe Clefts
Type 3 and type 4 journey submissions must include a surgical report (PDF) detailing the cleft type and repair method. This information will only be used to ensure accurate classification and will not be published.
Providers/Facilities
LCI does not vet, endorse, or publish the names of healthcare professionals or facilities in journey submissions.

By submitting this form, I confirm that I am either the legal guardian of the individual described or the individual described in this submission, and that I have the right to share this story.
