Olivia

Olivia was born with a type 2 laryngeal cleft, double tracheoesophageal fistula and oesophageal atresia in South Australia. She underwent endoscopic laryngeal cleft repairs at the ages of 1 month and 18 years. In addition, she had an open tracheoesophageal fistula repair in 2024. Olivia has comorbidities caused by both her digestive tract defects, as well as her airway defects and has a GJ-tube. She is currently studying registered nursing at university and is a member of the State Youth Health Advisory Group. In her free time, Olivia enjoys supporting the Australian Women’s Soccer team, painting and spending time with friends. Olivia is enthusiastic to support others navigating their own laryngeal cleft journeys, especially within Australia.
