Delaware Proclaims Laryngeal Cleft Awareness Day

LCN is pleased to announce that Aug. 18, 2025, has been proclaimed Laryngeal Cleft Awareness Day in the state of Delaware. This is an important step to increasing awareness of this congenital birth defect, and we appreciate Gov. Matt Meyer for issuing this proclamation.

The proclamation was requested and facilitated by laryngeal cleft parent Felicia:

“I am so excited to have been able to get a proclamation for laryngeal cleft awareness thanks to the help of LCN and their online template. To some it may not seem like much, but for Cameron and I it means so much. I feel like the proclamation makes Cameron and other individuals with a laryngeal cleft feel seen, even if just for a day. To everyone else it was just another day but for us it's a small step in the direction of bringing awareness to laryngeal cleft.

The process was very easy with the help of the template from LCN and I was able to navigate to my individual state’s page and request it. The process was very simple and I heard back fairly quickly.”

Thank you, Felicia and Cameron, for your efforts to raise awareness of laryngeal clefts. Our community appreciates you!
