Dr. Michael Rutter

Dr. Rutter is a Professor of Pediatric Otolaryngology and Clinical Director of the Aerodigestive and Esophageal Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.  

He is internationally known for his expertise in the management of laryngeal clefts, pediatric aspiration, congenital tracheal stenosis, adult airway disease, and complex airway disease. He is a highly sought-after speaker and presenter on complex pediatric airways issues both nationally and internationally.  

Dr. Rutter has received multiple awards and recognitions, including the Distinguished Service Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.   He holds four patents, has developed several surgical procedures, and has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed articles and 50 book chapters.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (AAO), Society of Ear, Nose and Throat Advances in Children (SENTAC), American Broncho - Esophagological Association (ABEA), as well as other academies and associations.
