Journeys
For children born with a laryngeal cleft, obtaining a diagnosis and effective treatment is often a long and challenging journey.
It’s common for mild clefts to remain undiagnosed—or misdiagnosed—for months or years. Severe clefts often require complex, multidisciplinary care and typically need surgical repair.
LCI honors every laryngeal cleft hero, their family, and the healthcare professionals who helped along the way. Each journey is unique, and we thank the families willing to share their story here.
